Our Terms and Conditions

Rooted Minds Psychology is a collective of independent Clinical Psychologists who share a website, values, and a commitment to high-quality psychological care.

While we work collaboratively, each psychologist listed here operates their own independent private practice as a sole trader, and are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the regulatory body for Clinical Psychologists in the UK. The website functions as a shared platform and does not constitute a partnership or single legal entity.

Appointments, fees, cancellations, and payment arrangements are managed directly with your chosen Psychologist.

Psychologists within the collective may engage in peer consultation and professional discussion where appropriate and in line with professional guidelines. Any sharing of information occurs only with client consent or where ethically required.

Rooted Minds Psychologists are only able to work with clients who live in the United Kingdom.

All therapy sessions are confidential. Your Psychologist will not disclose any information without your consent, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to you or others, or when required by law. Your Psychologist may share information with other healthcare providers as a part of a collaborative care team, with your consent.

Please visit the Write Upp website for further information about data security. You have the right to access, amend, or request the deletion of your personal information at any time. For adult clients, your Psychologist will retain your information for seven years after therapy ends, as per British Psychological Society Guidelines, after which it will be securely deleted. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent unless legally required. You have the right to request a copy of your records by notifying your Psychologist in writing, and this will be provided within 14 days unless there are unusual circumstances.

Services Provided

Your Psychologist will provide psychological assessment and / or therapy through online sessions. A standard session length is 50 minutes, however, length, frequency, duration and therapeutic approach will be agreed upon during the initial consultation and reviewed periodically.

Sessions are offered in English.

Crisis and Safeguarding

Assessment and therapy is not provided for crisis situations. Rooted Minds Psychology and individual Psychologist emails are checked periodically, so urgent support unfortunately cannot be provided.

If you or someone you know is in need or urgent support or at risk of harm, please see our Crisis Support Information page

Your Psychologist reserves the right to terminate the assessment or therapy if the level of risk is deemed too great to be held in a private capacity.

If your Psychologist is concerned about your risk to yourself, they may need to contact your GP or emergency contact to ensure you are being safeguarded. Your Psychologist would always try to discuss this with you first.

If your Psychologist is concerned about your risk to others or from others, they may need to contact a public service such as the police or social services. Your Psychologist would always try to discuss this with you first.

Fee, Payment and Cancellation Policy

The fee for 50 minutes of input is £120. The price of custom session lengths will be pro-rated and agreed with you.

Payments are to be made at least 48 hours before the session or the session will not go ahead.
